•August 6, 2008 • Leave a CommentI read a book over the weekend and i felt inspired to move on with my passion and find a way of turing it into a profit making and empowerement venture. By the way my passion is Makeup. i co-founder a company called Nsure in Festac
The title of the book is “The Girl Enterprenuer” written by Mrs Ibukun Awosika. Its HoT. It features the various stories of women who are in business and are doing great in their sphere. It also shows the importance of balancing both home and work together….A lot of the women also spoke about the effect of choising the right spouse .
The key lesson i learnt are:
- You must discover what you have passion for
- You must also understand that your talent is not enough, you have to constnly develop your self to be above mediocracy
- You must gain experience and exposure in your area of interest
- You can start with a smaller version of what you have in mind first
- Be flexible and do not be afraid to start
- keep learning and innovating new ideas.
After i read the book it confirmed to me that you dont always have to stick to your comfort zone dare to be who you are …I have a mentor , friends and family who believes in me and thinks i can be . and i ask my self why can i be?
I rate this book A+.Grab your copy!!!! its hot

My Trip to Abeokuta
•July 28, 2008 • Leave a CommentHello everyone, it feels very great to be back home in Lagos, my weekend was busy and remorseful at the same time, i had to travel to Abeokuta for a friends wedding. It was a time for sight seeing for me as i hardly ever get to leave Lagos. i hate to travel but in this case i didn’t have a choice. It was an adventure for me.
Abeokuta is a very lovely and calm city, when we got down at the pack i bought fresh corn to eat because it looked very tempting.i immediately began to loose the tension around my neck and and shoulder .it is a very lovely environment must confess.
When we got to our destination ( i went with my friend Tola ),we were treated like queens, we lodged in a beautiful room. Later that evening we went for a little tour (Ogun river, sport center).
Engagement day, we all dressed in our attire and we were ready to rock the party, the only snag was that the parents of th bride were both late so that made us a little sober, but within minutes the bride completely forgot and began to dance with reckless abandon, got sprayed. Forget about crime of spraying money on the dance floor, Yoruba people will always be Yoruba people.

•July 24, 2008 • Leave a CommentSome many times when i go to the eatery to grab a bite am always confronted by the ugly scene of people with all sort of problems begging for money and almost immediately i just loose my appetite and get carried away by their plight and begin to thank God for his mercies .
There was this particular Wednesdays, after service all i want just small chops and ice cream, after getting what i wanted i got out of the eatery and behold there was an old woman standing there, it was as if she was waiting for me she greeted me with so much familiarity that i felt i must have met her so where before.
She told me of how her husband died and how she was left alone to cater for her kids and how she has been hustling jobs to keep up with the family’s expenses, by the time she was through i was close to tears already, i gave her some money and told her that i was going to be helping her in prayers and that God will see her through.
At that moment it dawn on me that no matter who you are either man or female , you need to develop your entrepreneurial spirit so that you wont be left stranded when it matters most. So when next you see someone who needs your help financially dont just walk away try and help in your own little way…

Straight from my heart
•July 23, 2008 • Leave a CommentToday i woke up early headed for my childhood friends makeup for her big day(wedding day), she was looking a little different to me , had an extra glow, she was all smile and refused to be offended by my teasing. She was all focused on her husband ,she kept on saying my husband this my husband that and all those gibberish talk. I had a good laugh and went on and on teasing her. I must confess after all the makeup and hairstyling she looked really beautiful .(she wont allow me post her pics)
Her husband wasn’t exactly an Adonis by you could see that he means the while world to her from the way she looks at him, touch his arms and the tone of her voice. That brought me to a conclusion that for every man their is a woman. They looked so much alike they could pass for siblings.
When parents try to intervene in their children life by telling them what to do, when to do it, and they want it done they rebel.
Earlier this week a friend of mine was gisting me about how he got his heart broken, that taught him a major lesson ,never to trust a woman again. It was the old tale of woman caught in bed with another lover. He vowed that if he was ever gonna love again it was going to be at his own terms.
Some many people miss out on true love because they have been burnt or hurt before and are refusing to forgive or let go of the memories created, life doesn’t end there, you should learn to move on because guess what your partner has probably forgotten you exist.
Time is the greatest healer. As for me TRUE LOVE exist.
The persona of a diva
•July 21, 2008 • Leave a CommentHello everyone! I had a wonderful fun filled weekend with a lot of fun. I spent the weekend with my friend and family. On Sunday was with my baby and had a wonderful time.
The momentum of living and giving will always attract things beyond your wildest dreams. The greatest storehouse of a woman is her home, if it is filled with the right things. Warmth, encouragement, loving attention, sensitivity to others, a servant’s heart, and a hospitable spirit. These will always bring people to your home.
Everyone, for the most part, wants to know they are valued, they are cared for. When others matter to you for you to invest time and energy in making them feel welcome and full, they cannot walk away without contemplating what gift they could render to you for creating such good feeling within them, but the attitude has everything to do with the act. Are you able to act serve others without seeking anything in return becomes the big question. Can you do all in your power to help someone just because you care?
If you don’t have the virtue the proverbs 31 woman, you can adhere to the following easy next steps
Choose to deliberately live outside of yourself by reaching out to others
Seek ways to invest in the lives of those you perceive as special from God
Be willing to stretch beyond your comfort zone for someone
Purpose to make your home haven to others
When disappointment comes, walk softly and resist the urge to submerge yourself in your pain. Focus on finding a solution.
Don’t stir up negativity around you or spread it to your loved ones try to diffuse it before it gets out.
Exercise humility and a grateful heart with those who come to your aid
Purpose to live life gracefully at all cost
Trust in God with all your life. culled from diva principle

Here are some great cllections. Hope you enjoy them
